BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS
Section 8.J.1 of the Village's Purchasing Policy grants the Village Manager discretion to approve and release checks for certain payments without prior Board approval for amounts that fall within his or her statutory authority (payments for less than $35,000) or certain payments that have been previously authorized by the Board via contract or Resolution. All other payments, regardless of amount, shall require Board approval prior to being released.
Included in the agenda packet for ratification are the Village of Glencoe and Glencoe Golf Club early check lists for the month of September 2026.
The early check register provides a report for each check run that is completed in the financial software system by the date the checks are processed and printed, which typically occurs on a weekly basis.
As part of the early checks for September, payment was made to Hollembeak Construction, Inc. in the amount of $90,663.05 for the Short Game and Croquet Court project, which was previously approved by the Village Board. A payment was also made to Currie Motors in the amount of $49,285.00 for the replacement of patrol vehicle #652, authorized by the Village Board and purchased through the Northwest Municipal Conference Suburban Purchasing Cooperative.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend Village Board ratification of the September 2026 Early Check Register List in the total amount of $294,055.64 for the Village of Glencoe and $18,016.96 for the Glencoe Golf Club.
